About me
For me, photography is more than creating beautiful images. The best photographs seem to freeze time, making you feel as though you’re reliving a memory. In every session, I strive not only to deliver gorgeous photos, but also to document moments and milestones for my clients.
Nearly two decades ago, I discovered my passion for photography while developing black-and-white, 35mm film in my high school’s darkroom, and I’ve been honing my craft ever since. After graduating from Furman University, I earned my masters from the University of Tennessee, studying journalism and electronic media.
I continued to develop my skills in visual storytelling, working as a producer at WBIR-TV in Knoxville, Tenn. In addition to my news station, publications like USA Today, The Tennessean, and Knoxville News Sentinel have featured my photography.
My background in journalism and digital media has taught me to adapt and thrive no matter the circumstances. I like that every photo session is different than the last, but most of all, I love preserving memories.
